The challenge: A short file with a heavy terminology load

A short file does not always mean a simple project. This animal nutrition translation had only about 240 source words. However, it included a high amount of specialist terminology. The text covered analytical constituents, additives, antioxidants, feeding instructions, percentages, dosage units, and storage conditions. Therefore, every word had to be correct and clear.

The client also needed the content in 11 languages: Polish, Bulgarian, Czech, Estonian, Finnish, Croatian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Slovak, Slovenian, and Serbian Latin.

In addition, chemical names, measurements, and feed terms had to stay accurate in every version. A small error in a value or dosage could change the meaning of the label. So, terminology control was just as important as speed.

The biggest challenge, however, was the deadline. The client needed all 11 language versions within one business day. As a result, the project required more than fast translation. It needed specialist linguists, parallel work, and close coordination from the start. The website case study makes the same point: the real difficulty came from combining word-level accuracy with 11 language streams under one short deadline.

What we did: one team, 11 languages

Aploq built a specialist team for all 11 target languages. First, we selected native linguists who could work with technical product information and animal nutrition terminology. Availability alone was not enough. The project needed people who could understand the subject and make accurate language choices.

Next, we set up the project in Trados. This helped us keep the source structure and recurring terminology under control. We paid close attention to percentages, mg/kg values, chemical names, additives, feeding instructions, and storage limits. At the same time, each translation still had to sound natural in the target language.

Because all 11 language streams ran at the same time, project management became essential. We answered questions quickly and tracked progress throughout the day. In addition, we coordinated every language as part of one multilingual package rather than as a separate task.

This parallel workflow helped us protect both speed and consistency. It also reduced unnecessary handoffs. As a result, the team could keep all languages moving toward the same deadline and deliver one complete package within a single business day.

The result: 11 languages delivered in one day

Aploq delivered all 11 language versions within one business day. The client received one coordinated multilingual package based on a 240-word source file. More importantly, the short deadline did not push specialist terminology into the background. Accuracy remained a key part of the process from start to finish.

The workflow also made the project easier for the client. Instead of managing several suppliers and different timelines, the client worked with one coordinated process across Central, Eastern, and Northern European languages.

This project is also a good reminder that word count does not define project complexity. A short technical label can require more specialist knowledge and coordination than a much longer general text. In this case, the challenge came from terminology, scale, and time.

For Aploq, the project showed the value of fast multilingual coordination. We brought together the right linguists, kept 11 language streams moving in parallel, and maintained clear communication throughout the day. The client also highlighted our quick responses and efficient workflow.

The result was simple: 240 words, 11 languages, one coordinated workflow, and one-day delivery.
